Meet the Wheeler’s

In January 2004, after returning from a single adult leader's conference, God began to impart a ministry vision to David called "To the One".  This was placed on the shelf, but never totally forgotten.  In the fall of 2012, God began to call David, Patty and family to relocate to the greater DC area to further Patty's Federal Government career, as well as launch new ministry opportunities.  As the potential transition to DC began to materialize, God reminded David of this ministry vision and we began to establish the ministry believing its time had now come.  (Habakkuk 2:3 - For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.)     

With the assistance of legal counsel, our Florida nonprofit corporation, "To The One Jesus Christ, Inc." was established April 18, 2013.  On April 22, 2013, we obtained our IRS Employer Identification Number and on November 20, 2014 obtained 501c(3) status. Separate business bank accounts were established to ensure personal and business financial integrity.  Our ministry is subject to an annual report to the state of Florida and the IRS. Our personal finances are reviewed annually by a Certified Public Accountant.

Ministry is in our blood, having come from bi-vocational ministry families including both our respective parents and grandparents.  David and Patty Wheeler continued this generational heritage and legacy by being active in church ministry their entire lives.  Having served in various separate roles including Worship Leader, Single Adult Leader, and Small Group Coordinator, God called them to join in marriage in 1995 to further their individual Godly heritages and legacy of ministry to singles and families with the promise of their children following these same ministry footsteps.  

David and Patty are both ordained ministers of New Life Christian Fellowship International (NLCFI), now known as the R3 Alliance (www.r3alliance.com).  This ministerial organization stands alongside other pastors and churches as they endeavor to fulfill their particular mission for the Lord.  It was established to provide apostolic oversight and accountability to affiliated nondenominational churches, missionaries, and parachurch ministries through a presbytery of ministers.  It is a ministry of New Life Christian Fellowship (NLCF) based in Jacksonville, FL.  NLCFI and NLCF Founder and Apostolic Succession Bishop Paul D. Zink is the overseeing bishop for us and these ministers and organizations.  He is available for any questions regarding us personally or the ministry via www.nlcf.org.
